About Alia Ott & Terri Garner
Terri Garner and Alia Ott have been investing for nearly 3 decades combined, and involved in over $30M worth of real estate transactions and private loans. They are fund managers for the Capital Storage Fund – a company that acquires low occupancy self-storage properties with potential for increased cashflow and overall value using their revenue optimization process. Together they help educate the investor community in how to invest in self storage.
Terri and Alia have personally invested in 20 states around the country, successfully completing many of their ventures remotely. They’ve done everything from rehabbing and home staging, to long-term and vacation property rentals, notes, private lending and other commercial ventures. Their favorite strategy by far is “turn around” self-storage investments for long term cashflow.
Prior to investing full time, Alia served as a Director for several corporate philanthropy programs initiated by Cisco Systems, AOL, Yahoo! and the United Nations; creating giving portals that have raised over $1.5 Billion online for charitable causes to date. Alia is a master connector and holds a degree in Communications from Chapman University as well as a Certification for Advanced Project Management from Stanford University. She is a licensed real estate broker and best-selling co-author of the book “Initiative”.
Terri started her career as a Mechanical Engineer. After 6 years of designing satellites for Hughes Aircraft Company and 11 years as a business manager at Verizon Wireless, Terri left Corporate America in 2007 to focus on her real estate endeavors fulltime. Terri holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from Texas A&M University and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of California, Irvine, with exchange certificates from the University of Paris, Sorbonne, and the University of New South Wales Graduate School of Management, Sydney.
Alia and Terri are passionate about financial education for women and children. They helped found several financial literacy programs including a youth-based program called “The Magic of Money” and “Cashflow Divas,” a mastermind group for entrepreneurial women focused on creating passive income. Most recently, they have launched online and live training to teach investors how to create long term wealth through real estate.
