The ultimate weekend of fitness, The Fit Expo Anaheim, sponsored by Bodybuilding.com, returns to Orange County Saturday and Sunday, August 26 and 27, 2017 at the Anaheim Convention Center, 800 West Katella Ave, Anaheim, Halls B and C.
This action packed weekend will include free competitions, non-stop cutting edge classes, 250 companies with the newest in fitness, diet, nutrition, strength and wellness products and services and tons of free samples!
“This year we have added a number of new exhibits and events for our loyal followers as well as for first-time attendees,” said Erin Ferries, Executive Director, TheFitExpo. “We encourage people of all ages and from all fitness levels to come out and experience everything TheFitExpo has to offer. We want to inspire them to live a healthier lifestyle.”
One-of-a-kind events featured on the Expo floor will include: the Battle of the Bars (calisthenics), Slackline Competition, UNAA Ultimate Ninja Obstacle Course Competition, Forge Fitness Affiliate Showcase (cross fit style) and Dodgeball Competition. Australia’s leading fitness authority, Marcus Bondi, a Guinness World Record holder and who has 10 million YouTube video views, will attempt to set new World Record with the heaviest weighted chin ups. The current World Record is 202 pounds.
TheFitExpo attendees can cheer on competitors participating in returning contests including: Gracie Worlds (Jiu Jitsu Tournament), Odd Haugen Strength Classic California Strongman Challenge, Ironmind’s Visegrip Viking Challenge, The NPC MuscleContest Challenge (National bodybuilding qualifier), Northern American Continental MAS Wrestling Championship, NAP’s National Armwrestling Tournament and TheFitExpo Anaheim Powerlifting event. Plus attendees can get into the action and compete for cash and prizes with the MAXREP’s 4 CA$H, sponsored by GAT and TheFitExpo’s BEST.
During both days of the Expo, many leading fitness professionals will offer hot training tips, informational seminars, and exciting demonstrations including: Billy Blanks (fitness icon and creator of the Tae Bo exercise program); CT Fletcher (6X World Champion Powerlifter); Kali Muscle (bodybuilder with 27 million views on YouTube and successful author, actor, philanthropist, and motivator); Grand Master Rorion Gracie (Co-founder of UFC, writer, publisher, producer); Internet bodybuilding sensation Massy Arias (health coach with 2.3 million Instagram followers); Danny Hester, (2016 Classic Bodybuilding Olympia winner); Lexy Panterra (founder of LexTwerkOut); with many more to be announced.
Trying to eat right? The Healthy Living Pavilion will feature a variety of seminars and healthy cooking demonstrations with leading experts as well an assortment of innovative products available to sample and purchase.
Ready to sweat? Come dressed to work out as TheFitExpo’s Training Zone offers free express workouts and fitness challenges daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the Group Exercise Stage. The area’s top pros will offer sessions in POUND, R.I.P.P.E.D., Rockout Workout, GROOV3, One Stop Bodyshock, PlyoJam, LexTwerkOut, and Celebrity SweatPlus. ZUMBA® is front and center at the Expo. On Saturday, there will be special ZUMBA workshop training sessions that will cover the foundation and formula to teach a ZUMBA Class and on Sunday, STRONG by Zumba®, the advance high intensity training with the science of Synced Music Motivation (advance registration with separate ticket required).
The Fit2beKids Youth Fitness Festival will debut during both days of TheFitExpo. Presented by Fit2beKids, an active member of the South Orange County Childhood Obesity Prevention Task Force, this event-within-an-event is dedicated to providing relevant information, experience-based learning, activities, and education about fighting childhood obesity. Activities will include Crossfit Kids, Armed Forces Heroes Challenge, Mobile Garden, Family Cooking Class, Dance Class, High School Cook-Off, Family Fitness Class, and more.
And for the younger attendees at the Fit Expo, The Kids and Youth Area, courtesy of The Gracie Worlds, will offer a supervised space for children 12 and under to learn, play, and have fun. (Separate fee).
Attendees will want to “dress to impress” as Fitness STAR International Model Search & My Best Self, presented by Fitness Star, will bring its unique model search, Sunday on The Fit Expo fitness stage. Categories include lingerie, athletic apparel, bikini, swimwear, evening gown and male muscular.
Adult admission tickets are $25 per day or $40 for the full weekend of The Fit Expo. Tickets for children 12 years and under are $10 per day and children under 6 are admitted free. Show hours are 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. Discount coupons are available at participating Ralphs, GNC, WaBa Grill, and participating gyms. Plenty of parking is available.
